Classification of industrial explosives

Industrial explosives classify by a chemical composition or a physical state, by most characteristics of their properties silt of prescription structure, by area and conditions of application.
All explosives on a chemical composition are subdivided into individual chemical compounds and mechanical mixes which components react chemical interaction at explosion. Individual explosives classify on brisant and initiating. Brisant are in turn subdivided into nitroconnections (trotyl, tetryl, hexogen) and nitroair (nitroglycerine, nitrodiglikol, Ten).

Nitroconnections – explosives in which molecules contain NO2 nitrogroups.
Nitroair – the connections containing nitrate groups ONO2.

From individual chemical compounds at explosive works independently apply only trotyl. Mainly in the form of granulated trinitrotoluene and checkers detonators. Other individual explosives in an independent look at explosive works aren’t applied because of their high sensitivity and high cost. Hexogen and mix of nitroglycerine with the nitrodiglikoly apply as components of industrial explosives to increase of their power and detonation ability. Tetryl is used in caps detonators, and Teng or hexogen – in the detonating cords.

From the mixes of explosives in the industry most widely apply mixes on the basis of ammonium nitrate, ammonals, detonits, uglenits and other explosives. Special group the water filled explosives of suspension type of various consistence – an akvatola make, akvanita, ifzanita, karbotola and others. Water with saltpeter as a part of such explosives form saturated solution. Making a liquid phase of suspension.
